Manchester
United are planning to sign Everton defender Seamus Coleman for a fee around £25
million, according to the Daily Star.
The
Republic of Ireland international was linked with a move to Manchester United
in the past. Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is preparing to offload Marouane
Fellaini to his former side as part of Coleman’s deal.
While
Everton are also planning for teenager Adnan Januzaj on loan, means United
can use the Belgian for a bargaining purpose which could help them to secure
Coleman’s services.
The
26-year-old is a regular player for Everton. He has made 15 Premier League appearances
so far this season.
Coleman
is an attacking right-back and could be used as a wing-back if van Gaal continues
with the same 3-5-2 formation.
United
have already suffered enough this season with injury problems and looking to
strengthen their side with new faces.
Reports
have also linked Manchester United with their former skipper Nemanja Vidic who
is struggling at Inter Milan. The Serie A side have already decided to offload
him next month for free.
Star
reported that Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has planned to say goodbye to
Vidic after performing poor for the Italian side.
