Juan Mata has not been a regular for United since the arrival of Dutch manager Louis van Gaal. He joined the Red Devils for a fee around £37million from Chelsea in the start of 2014.
Reports have claimed that Sevilla have been keeping tabs on the Spaniard and are in intentions to make a bid in January.
The
former Valencia midfielder is currently managing to get his name in the
starting eleven, he also scored a goal in a 2 -1 win over Stoke City in the
midweek.
Despite
of breaking into the first team, La Liga side are still planning to make him as
the first winter signing.
United
are not ready to sell Mata in January but could sell him at the end of the
season. LVG has already targeted Kevin Strootman of Roma who will be available
in the summer. The Dutchman is rated at £35million. Strootman’s arrival
will be a signal for Mata that he should look for a club.
The
26-year-old has scored 10 goals in 26 appearances for the Re Devils since his
move in January. This
season, he has started two games in Premier League, he will hopefully start his
third game in a row this weekend.
