Liverpool
legend Jamie Carragher believes that Liverpool should not go for Fernando
Torres in January.
Fernando
Torres who is currently on a two-year loan at AC Milan from Chelsea was
reportedly on Liverpool’s radar since the reports revealed that AC Milan will
send him back to Chelsea in the winter market.
However,
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho also clearly said that there is no room for the Spaniard
at Stamford Bridge.
Jamie
Carragher has advised Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers not to think about
Fernando Torres despite of having a struggling season in front of goals.
SkySports
pundit said that Liverpool should bring a young talented striker who has the
energy for the coming years.
Torres
is now 30-year-old and has been in poor form since his departure from Anfield. He
has scored only a goal since his move to Milan in the summer.
Liverpool
are definitely in search for a striker as Mario Balotelli has failed to prove
and Daniel Sturridge has been out since long.
Carragher
further added that Milan brought him because of the slow game style of Serie A but
the Spanish striker also failed in Italy. If Chelsea and Milan think the same
for Torres then it means Liverpool should also thing that way.
