Enzo
Perez has finally agreed to join Valencia from Benfica as both the sides have
reached an agreement.
Reports
revealed that Benfica and Valencia have agreed a deal and Enzo Perez will soon
be heading to join the Spanish side.
Perez
has been on reports for the past month, he was strongly linked with Manchester United
who failed to land him. Manchester United attacking midfielder Angel di Maria
tried to convince fellow compatriot Perez to join the Old Trafford side, according
to Marca’s reports. However, in the end it is Valencia who grab his move.
The Red Devils have already planned to sign Kevin Strootman from Serie A side Roma which means it
will not be a big blow for manager Lois van Gaal.
Benfica
sold several star players in the summer including Lazar Markovic to Liverpool.
The Portuguese side tried their best to keep Perez in Portugal but the
Argentine international has a desire to play for Valencia.
The
Portuguese outfit demanded €30millon for Perez but due to financial problems
they had to agree around €20millon.
Valencia
officially announced on their website that they have reached an agreement and
Perez will be traveling to Spain in few days for a medical and will hopefully
make a debut against Real Madrid.
Perez
told: “I’m very happy to get to Valencia. Tomorrow will be a long day.”
