Premier
League side Crystal Palace are planning to sign former Arsenal and Chelsea
full-back Ashley Cole on loan, according to reports.
DailyMail
revealed earlier today that Roma summer singing Ashley Cole is on Crystal
Palace’s radar as the English side are eyeing to bring him back to his homeland.
Cole
joined the Serie A side in summer following his expiration of his contract at Stamford
Bridge.
Cole
played a season on loan at Crystal Palace in 1999-2000 when he was at Arsenal. He
has already told in the past that he would like to play again for the Eagles
one day. Cole made 14 appearacnes for Palace.
Palace
manager Neil Warnock is keen to sign a new left-back in the coming window and
reports have revealed that Cole would be a perfect option for him.
Palace
did try in the summer for the Englishman prior to his move to Roma but the deal
failed as the English side sacked Tony Pulis to appoint new boss Neil Warnock.
The
former England international has a contract of £80k per-week according to
sources, but it would be difficult for them to pay such amount as they can
afford 40k at maximum.
The
33-year-old is also keen to return to England as he is struggling for
the playing time in Italy.
