Chelsea
goalkeeper Petr Cech is likely to leave the Stamford Bridge side with reports
linking him with Arsenal and Liverpool but not in the winter transfer window.
DailyMail and Sun Sport reported earlier today that Chelsea veteran has planned to leave the club but will stay till the end of the season.
Czech
Republic international goalkeeper is likely to be eyeing a Premier League medal
before his departure from Chelsea.
The Blues who are the favourties to win the title this season are also hoping to keep Cech
atleast for this season.
His
agent Viktor Kolar told Czech newspaper Sport: “It’s unlikely Petr will leave
Chelsea in the January transfer window. The club and coach want to keep him to
help win the title.”
But
Kolar also revealed that he could stay in England as several options are open
for him: “I think Arsenal should have made an offer to him. I think Petr would
be considering it.”
Cech’s
agent has told that his Client will stay this season but will not close the doors for
Arsenal or Liverpool in summer. Liverpool
are already suffering with the goalkeeper issues this season. Also, Kolar added Real Madrid
are eyeing Cech.
Since
the arrival of Thibaut Courtois from Atletico Madrid, Cech has been struggling
this season. He has made only two Premier League appearances so far.
The
38-year-old who played as a first choice keeper for ten seasons started three consecutive games in the absense of Courtois who was out with groin injury. But yesterday against Stoke, the Belgian returned and Cech was benched again
Despite of his unhappiness on the bench he is still eyeing to stay in the coming window which opens next week.
