It was reported few days ago that AC Milan have confirmed to sign Fernando Torres on permanent basis from Chelsea next week and earlier today they agreed to send him on loan to his boyhood side.

Fernando Torres who spent six maonths on loan at AC Milan from Chelsea will spend the rest of his 18-months at his childhood club Atletico Madrid after failing to impress AC Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi. The Spaniard netted only a goal in 10 appearances.

Fernando Torres revealed his happiness by posting the below tweet. 

He tweeted: “At last back home. Thanks to all that have made this dream come true. Forza @Atlei. #TorresHaVuelto”

After a struggling life in London and then in Italy, the Spaniard is eyeing to revive his old days back at home. The former Liverpool star scored 82 La Liga goals in more than 200 appearances for Atletico.

Torres who has played with current Atletico manger Diego Simeone said that returning to his home town club is like a dream come true.

The 30-year-old striker left Atletico in 2007 for Liverpool where he played his best days. He netted 81 goals in 142 appearances for the Reds.

While AC Milan are still demanding their flop attacker Alessio Cerci in return.
