Last season's Premier League top scorer Luis Suarez has said that playing at
Barcelona is difficult as compared to Liverpool.
The
former Liverpool star striker said that in the Premier League he had enough space
to beat the opponent but it is difficult to find space in La Liga as they all
are aware of Barcelona quality.
In
La Liga, the defenders mark closely and give a very close gap which sometimes
become difficult to deal with, said the Uruguay.
Suarez
told: “The defenders are strong, quicker, more corpulent… I was used to them.
Here they are more skillful, they complement each other and play tighter
together. They know how much danger Barça can cause and so it can be quite
difficult sometimes.”
Suarez
who is currently the second highest assist provider for the Catalans is yet to
find goal scoring streak at Camp Nou. He has only one goal to his name in the
League.
In
the interview the former Ajax striker added that he thought it would be easy to
play alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar but it is much more difficult than
Premier League because of the toughness of league.
The
27-year-old was signed from Liverpool after his impressive goal scoring record
in the Premier League, but the Uruguayan has failed to impress in terms of goal. However, he has assisted five times in La Liga so far this season.
He
added: “I’m not scoring much at the moment, but I’m sure that with help from my
colleagues, the goals will come.”
Despite
of his poor goal scoring form at Camp Nou he is still making a good name. He is
very happy to play alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar.
