After
Manchester City oversaw an un-impressive start to the Premier League this
season, the news regarding their last season top goal-scorer would not bring
enough happiness into the ranks of Manchester City fans.
The Citizens are trailing 8 points from the leaders Chelsea and will be looking to align any cracks within their ranks as early as next summer.
Yaya
Toure, the highest paid African in the field of football hasn’t been on the
same wavelength with the Manchester City owners since last season Premier
League triumph. His form has taken a down-turn since then and many attribute
his lack of performance to the lack of effort he puts on field.
In
an event which started when Manchester City allegedly failed to impress the
midfielder on his birthday, Yaya Toure has made the most of it and is still
refusing to comment where his future lies ahead.
As
his team has qualified for the African Nations Cup due to which he is expected
to miss the new-year due to International duty at home, Yaya Toure was being
asked by a reporter about his future. However, Toure with his subtle attitude
refused to take the bait and answered in a fashion that won’t be much appealing
to the Dubai based ownership whom has made him the highest paid African in the
history of Premier League.
In
an interview with a media outlet RMC, Toure was quoted as saying: “You never
know what happens tomorrow.”
Although
this was a perfect answer to the question in a political way, Yaya Toure
wouldn’t have impressed the fan base waiting for him at the Etihad as they
expected a more warm behaviour rather than a cold shudder from the Ivorian.
However,
since it is now being assumed, Manchester City are already looking for life
after Yaya Toure as they will finance further buys after selling him to PSG.
