Atletico
Madrid boss and the current La Liga Champion Diego Simeone has poured cold
water over the speculation that were linking him from a move away from the
Spanish Capital.
In
his recent Interview, the 44 year old Argentine insisted his work is far from
being a finished article at the reigning Spanish Champions as he continues to look
towards the future with Atletico Madrid.
After seeing the the sale of top players like Diego Costa, Felipe Luis, David Villa and Thibaut Courtois, they were proclaimed by many to be finished as the money laden face of modern football haunted them again.
However,
Diego Simeone refused to lose heart as the Atletico Madrid board gave him full
backing in his pursuit of new talent as the likes of Antoine Griezman and Mario Mandukic were
brought to the Spanish Capital. Both of these players have helped Atletico
Madrid highly who are sitting just 2 points away from Barcelona and 4 away from
Real Madrid and being only one of the two teams in whole Europe that has defeated
Real Madrid this season.
But
with the recent things happening in the World of football with Manchester City
struggling highly to maintain their tempo both in the Premier League and
Champions League, Simeone was thought to be the man replacing Manuel Pellegrini at
the Etihad Stadium.
However,
for a man like Simeone, who never set foot on the English soil neither as a
manager nor as a player, the English Premier League fans might have to wait for
some more time as the Argentine is in no mood to leave Atletico Madrid.
