An
injury hit Manchester United squad can get some relief from this news that
Radamel Falcao is in contention to make a comeback against the Gunners next
weekend. Falcao who have been out from the Manchester United squad and spent
the International break watching his team-mates on International duty, will be
fit for this important fixture.
Manchester
United has been the most effected team by injuries this season. Already 10 of
their main players are out for a long time due to injuries. And the
condition became worse for Van Gaal after star Goal Keeper David De Gea injured his finger last night. The Spaniard had been in top form since the start of
season but after sustaining an injury on International duty, he too joins an
ever growing injury list of Manchester United.
However,
all is not too bleak for the Red Devils at the moment. In a recent interview,
the Colombian National team Coach was hopeful that Falcao is not far away from
returning to field. Falcao, who arrived on Loan at Old Trafford on the transfer
deadline day hasn’t been able to showcase his talent. In 5 matches so far, the
Columbian has scored just 1 goal. And things became worse for him after
suffering a calf injury 3 weeks ago. This injury forced him to miss key matches
against Manchester City and Chelsea.
But
he can take part in another vital match against Arsenal on 22nd of November. This will
be an important match for Manchester United who look to close the gap from the fourth spot. And with Falcao in the squad, Louis Van Gaal will be more than happy
to play against a strong opposition.
