eye 20-year-old Anderlecht midfielder Dennis Praet.
Premier League side Arsenal have shortlisted another midfielder for the January
transfer window. Reports have suggested that Anderlecht midfielder Dennis Praet
has been in continuous link with the Gunners in the recent weeks.
Arsenal
have met Anderlecht twice this season in Champions League group stages. The
Belgian side has clearly rejected any chances selling their young talented
midfielder. While Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of him.
The
20-year-old has been impressing in the Belgian league which caught Wenger’s
eye. The Frenchman is willing to land him in January while it will not be easy
as the Belgian outfit are not ready to sell him.
Despite
the Belgians rule out a move, player’s agent Jaques Lichtenstein claimed that
there is nothing to achieve here in Belgium. In other words he should definitely
think for a move, its Arsenal one of the biggest English football clubs.
Lichtenstein
told Daily Star: “What can he gain by spending another season at Anderlecht?
“He
can join the likes of Arsenal or Valencia, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid. He
won’t play for just anybody though.”
Lichtenstein
believes that his client has the ability to play for big clubs including Arsenal,
Liverpool and Valencia.
The
agent further added: “Dennis is not far away from being at the level of
Arsenal, where they would allow him a year to settle down.”
The
young Belgian who joined Anderlecht in
2010 has played 13 games so far for the Belgian side this season.
