Premier League side Arsenal have reached an agreement with local rival Chelsea for their star goalkeeper Petr Cech according to Daily Star.
The
reports have claimed that Chelsea have decided to sell Petr Cech as a principle deal
has been agreed and the 32-year-old stopper will be moving to the North London
side in January.
Cech
joined Chelsea from Rennes in 2004, he had been a regular first team keeper
till the return of youngster Thibaut Courtois in the summer. Cech has made 475 appearances
for Chelsea in all competitions since his move.
It
was quoted on Daily Star: “It's believed Wenger has already held talks with the
Blues, and according to some reports, has agreed a deal to sign the veteran
goalkeeper in January”.
The 32-year-old stopper has played only a game this season in Premier League. Thibaut Courtois who had a brilliant last season for Atletico Madrid is currently first choice keeper for the Blues.
Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his side in the coming window, and
Daily Star reported that a deal around £7million has been agreed between the
two London sides.
Wojciech
Szczesny who is the first choice stopper for the Gunners will be having a tough
competition as Cech is expected to take his place just after the arrival at the
Emirates.
