CSKA
Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia has been targeted by numerous Premier League clubs after displaying impressive performances in the Champions League campaign.
His impressive display eliminated Manchester City from Champions League, after which he has been caught by many big
clubs. French magazine Le 10 Sport revealed that Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspurs
and Chelsea are taking interest in Doumbia.
Daily
Mail reported that the Ivory Coast who has netted 10 goals in 15 games so far
this season is keen to prove in Premier League. While CSKA are planning to
offer him a new contract.
The
26-year-old striker has scored 83 goals in 125 appearances for the Russian side
since his move in 2010.
Liverpool
who are struggling in front of goals this season might take serious interest as their
summer signing Mario Balotelli has failed to impress. While Daniel Sturridge is also one of the reason why the Reds were not on top in the attacking areas. The Englishman has been out since long but is expected to return for the coming clash against Crystal
Palace.
While
for Chelsea, they don’t really need a striker for the first team as they have Diego Costa, Didier Drogba and Loic
Remy but Drogba is now 36-year-old and soon will be
announcing his retirement. It would be a great addition for the Blues if they
use Doumbia in a right way.
Both the Premier League sides will have to splash some money as CSKA Moscow will not let their star player to leave them easily. They will not sell him for less than €30million.
