Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has showed his love for his young star attacker Joel
Campbell but insisted that he still has a long way to go and there is no
confirmation of him in the first team.
Joel Campbell had an impressive World Cup for Costa Rica in the summer through which he caught the eyes of many managers. He helped his country to reach the quarter final.
The 22-year-old is a regular star for his national side, however, struggling at the Emirates to
get opportunities in the first team. He has made only two Premier League appearances
so far both of them were from the bench.
Wenger
answered when he was asked about Campbell that he has a long term future at
Emirates. He is only 22-year-old and has a bright future ahead.
Wenger
told: “Yes, of course. But I cannot guarantee the happiness of every player. I
try to make everybody happy.”
It
was reported that the Costa Rican was enormously frustrated by the decision of
taking him out of the squad against Anderlecht and Burnley.
It
also seems that he might leave the Gunners as he is not getting enough chances
on the field. He has not started a single game in any competition so far this
season.
New
Year will welcome back Mesut Ozil which will also decrease the chances of Campbell.
Theo Walcott has already returned and Serge Gnabry also plays on the same
position.
Why
Wenger is not giving him enough chances if he loves him?
