Tottenham
Hotspurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor is set to be sold in the
coming transfer window as he fails to perform under new manager Mauricio
Pochettino.
Former Arsenal and Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor who is currently spending his fourth season at Spurs has failed in front of goals so far this season. He has scored 2 goals in 10 appearances so far this term.
The
30-year-old was signed from Manchester City in 2011. Since then he has netted
41 goals in 106 appearances.
The
Togo international will have to accept a big wage cut in order to move to a new
place. Currently, he is earning £170,000-a-week, even it will be difficult to
find a new club.
The
former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking to reshape his striking force
with a new striker. Reports have suggested that the Argentinean manager is eyeing his
former star Jay Rodriguez who has a £20million price tag.
Pochettino
wants to sell Adebayor in order to fund for his next move of the English
striker Rodriguez.
The
London side have scored only 14 goals in 11 games in the Premier League so far
this season.
Last
year signing Roberto Soldado who had a flop season is once again reviving his performances.
He is yet to find the back of the net in five appearances this season.
