Romelu Lukaku (Everton)
Everton
signed Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for a fee around £28 million this summer. But the striker
has a not performed up to the mark. Last season, he spent on loan with Everton
and scored 16 goals in 33 games which helped Everton to finish a season on
fifth place. Currently, he has scored 2 goals in 7 games so far this season.
Wayne Rooney
(Manchester United)
Manchester
United striker is currently having an awful season. With new big names in the
squad like Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao, the Englishman seems to get less
importance despite of being the new captain for the Red Devils.
As Mata returns to the side he brings more finesse to the No. 10 role than Rooney, and his passing is also better and more incisive. #MUFC

The
German star who was signed on the transfer deadline day last summer has also
underperformed this season. He has not shown any signs that he worthy for the
price that Arsene Wenger paid last year for him. The Gunners paid Real Madrid
£42.5million which makes him the 5th expensive midfielder in the history of
football.
Currently, he is suffering from a knee injury and expected to be out for 12 weeks.
Steven Gerrard
(Liverpool)
The
34-year-old Liverpool skipper started season with very low performances
especially his performance against West Ham United few weeks ago was awful but last weekend
he returned with a bang, played an exceptional game and led the team to their
third win of the season. But overall he has disappointed this season.
Yaya Toure (Manchester City)
Last
Season’s City top scorer Yaya Toure has not been able to fill his own boots. He
is looking like a new Toure who just started a new life at Etihad stadium. His
age might be a factor but lets see will he be able to perform for the rest of
the season or will he be benched.
When Yaya Toure can't be arsed, he really can't be arsed. Can only assume he has a clause in his contract that prevents him being subbed.
