Manchester United attacking midfielder Angel di Maria has revealed that Real Madrid star
Crisitano Ronalo was the reason behind his move to Manchester United.

The
Argentinean attacker told that Ronaldo helped him and told that Manchester
United is a massive club and it would be great to see Di Maria playing for
United.
Ronaldo
who himself is considered as legend for the Red Devils played six season at Old
Trafford before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009. The 29-year-old scored 118
goals in 292 appearances for the Red Devils during his stay.
Currently,
Di Maria is wearing the number seven jersey which is fond of great names
including his former team mate Ronaldo.
Di
Maria told: “Before we knew I was coming to Manchester, Ronaldo told me it’s a
massive club, I would be very happy here and it would be good for me.”
He
further added: “At that time we didn’t know for sure that I was coming or not,
so we didn’t go into great detail, but what he did say helped me greatly to
make my decision.”
Di
Maria made 191 appearances in four seasons of stay at Santiago Bernabeu. The
26-year-old was also the key player for Madrid last season in the Champions League
victory. He won the man of the match award for the final match performance.
Di
Maria also won a La Liga, Super Cup and Copa del Rey twice along with a UCL
trophy at Madrid.
