When
the Premier League kicked off on 15 August, it was thought that Liverpool will
be the strugglers of this season as the Reds have lost their best player Luis Suarez to Barcelona and
were unable to find a suitable replacement and it was proved right but Manchester United joined the Merseysiders early on as Louis van Gaal era’s start was not
impressive for the Red Devils.

However as now the Premier League is finding its grip week in, week out amid the untimely International breaks, Arsenal have joined the strugglers camp as their position in the League table suggests clearly. Whether you call it an action of nature against Wenger or not, the bad performance have come amid rumors that the Arsenal board is looking for the successor of the Frenchman.

Highlights: Arsenal 2 – 2 Hull City (Premier League)
When
Arsenal signed Alexis Sanchez in the summer with a statement leaving teams like
Liverpool and Manchester United behind, it was a statement of intent even
before the Premier League begun. Being their 2nd most expensive signing and the
2nd player in as many seasons to leave the limelight of Spanish giants to come
for the London club, Alexis Sanchez provided a much needed breeding space for
Wenger.
Alexis
Sanchez was involved in more than 30goals for Barcelona last summer and by
getting his scalp, Arsene Wenger seemed to re-assure his fans that he is a
changed man after a much needed FA Cup triumph. However as it is turning out to
be now, nothing has changed on ground as far as Arsenal fans are concerned.
Summer moans rise once again!
Summer
transfer window wasn’t a success for Arsenal as amid rumors that linked them
have with the likes of Sven Bender and Sami Khedira, Arsenal chose quality over
quantity as they looked to ignore the midfield spot which was begging their
attention.
Price of football is heavy for Arsenal
fans!
One
more thing that has annoyed Arsenal fans over the last couple of weeks is the #PriceOfFootball campaign started by
BBC. As it was suggested time and again that Arsenal are charging their fans
more than Bayern Munich and even Manchester City, Arsenal fans have a right to
get good value of their money followed by today’s lethargic performance.
Although
Arsene Wenger can hide behind the injury factor that has left his team scathed
due to which Nacho Monreal played on the center back position, still Arsenal
fans have a right to question why Arsenal didn’t signed a seasoned center back
with players like Vermalen moving away. So over to you Mr. Wenger.
6 matches – 7 points!
In
terms of form guide as suggested earlier, only Tottenham are the top 6 team
that is below Arsenal at the moment because with 7 points in the last 6 matches
only with 1 win, draws aren’t doing any good for Arsene Wenger’s men. Rather
they are epitomizing the anger Arsenal fans are feeling almost every week since
the start of this season.
So
even if the manager change talk at Arsenal was a part of bit of chit-chat,
things – if remaining the same for the next couple of weeks will only
materialize the claim Piers Morgan and his bandwagon are demanding from last
season.
