The Frenchman thinks that the void left by Sagna is very difficult to fill. Both of them have played together for France.

Debuchy told: “Bacary is a good friend of mine, we have been in touch for many years now as we have been playing together in the national French team,”

He added that he has good relationship and wishes him best of luck for his career at Etihad Stadium. It is been a long time since they know each other very well, he said: “everything is cool between us.”

Regarding the City game the 28-year-old full-back said that this is an important game in terms of every aspect. International duty is now over and Arsenal should start winning their games.

“Now that we are done with international games we want to start on a positive note and we want to win that game.”

Manchester City is always a difficult team to play, but like the community shield anything can happen.
