Sluggish,
un-impressive or to some extent in-competent, these three words might describe
the state Arsenal strike force are in, at the moment. When the final whistle
blew at the Leicester stadium on Sunday, heaps of burden fell upon Arsene
Wenger shoulders as Yaya Sanogo who is quite an active lad on twitter amid
Manchester United recent showdowns, seemed less active when it was his turn to
perform.

Marquee
signing has been the concept fans all over the world adore now a days. However
in addition to that marquee signing that is pleasing to the eye for many loyal
men, a team needs to address the weaknesses lying between them. If you looked
at the first July when transfer window officially opened, Arsenal were lacking
a Central Defending midfielder in addition to a striker. However much to the
dis-trust of Arsenal fans, both of these positions haven’t been addressed till
the final day of this transfer window.
Arsenal are lacking
same players now they lacked when the transfer window officially opened on July
1.
After
Sunday’s draw with Leicester Arsene Wenger much to the happiness of his fans
reiterated his desire of going for a striker. With 1 day to go in the transfer
window and Arsene Wenger off to manage a friendly Charity Match, panic buys are
looming as players like Falcao, Remy and Cavani have settled their futures so
another bag full of money is needed hand if Arsenal are to look for
alternatives on the deadline day.
If
you look at the Arsenal team on paper, then they have the capability of testing
anybody’s resolve any-day. But when the gunners put all their eggs in one
basket against teams like Crystal Palace and Leicester City, the only thing
they are lacking is a ‘’Selfish Behavior” up-front.
Looking
at their game in the Community Shield in which they put 3 past the reigning
Premier League Champions, there was a ruthlessness there which is absent now.
This Arsenal team have too many creators but very less finishers and the fact
that this point wasn’t addressed since the departure of Persie by buying
players like Ozil and Sanchez last and this summer, is un-decipherable.
Arsenal signed
Sanchez when they have already 2 players in Walcott and Chamberlain there.
At
the end with hours to spare in this transfer window, Arsenal should forget they
have made any signing and should go into the market with full vengeance if they
to go anywhere near the title Challenge position next May.
