Arsenal
youngster Joel Campbell has expressed his desire to stay at the Emirates and
wants to prove his worth after being linked with numerous clubs for a loan move.
Campbell signed for Arsenal in 2011 but has not make any first team appearance as he has spent most of his time away from the Gunners on loan.
The
Costa Rican spent his last three seasons on loan at Lorient (France), Real Betis (Spain) and Olympiacos (Greece) and has no
interest to spend his fourth consecutive season on loan. He scored 11 goals in
43 appearances for the Greek side last season.
The 22-year-old impressed at the World Cup and wants to impress Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.
He told: “The Premier League’s the most interesting in
the world and I’ve always wanted to play here. It’s my dream. And I believe I’m
good enough.”
He has played more than 100 games in three different
leagues and has enough experience to shine in the Premier League as well.
Campbell
is desperate to prove himself in the Premier League despite of knowing that he won’t
get enough chance in the presence of French striker Olivier Giroud.
He
further added: “I’m confident of being successful in any division in the
world.”
After
his World Cup performances he has been eyed by many big teams including Italian side
AC Milan.
Should Arsene Wenger give him a chance?
