Here
are the top five goalkeepers to watch in the coming 2014-2015 season.
Simon Mignolet (Liverpool)
Liverpool
first choice goalkeeper conceded 50 goals last season. Not only his mistakes
costed them, the defense line last season was also awful. The Belgian kept 10
clean sheets last season.
David De Gea (Manchester United)
De
Gea is the first choice keeper and has no competition with anyone. Despite of
worst United finish last season, the Spaniard still managed to keep 12 clean
sheets.
Wojciech Szczesny (Arsenal)
Szczesny
kept 16 clean sheets and won the Golden Glove last season. But this season, he
has to work more hard as Arsene Wenger has bought David Ospina who shined for Colombia
at the World Cup to give the Polish man a hard time.
Tim Howard (Everton)
After
his top performances for USA in the World Cup, he has gain much more attention
for this coming season. The 35-year-old kept 15 clean sheets last season, was
just one clean sheet away from Wojciech Szczesny and Petr Cech both who kept 16
and shared the Golden Glove.
Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)
Courtois
is yet to make a Chelsea appearance but set to be named as a first choice
keeper in the coming week when he will overtake Pet Cech in the game against
Burnley. The Belgian won the Golden Glove last season in La Liga. He had 20
clean sheets in 37 games.
