Liverpool
have now entered the race to sign Monaco striker Radamel Falcao as he is set to
exit the French side on loan this summer.
From the other side, Spanish giants Real Madrid are currently chasing the Colombian and reports suggested that Madrid are leading the race and are set to sign Falcao on a season long loan.
Liverpool
have already lost star player Luis Suarez who signed for Barcelona last month
and the Reds are still searching in the market for a player who can fill the
gap created by the Uruguayan.
Liverpool
manager Brendan Rodgers is eyeing Falcao as Suarez’s temporary replacement on
loan with the possibility to sign him permanently in future.
While
for Real Madrid, they are eyeing him as a backup option for Karim Benzema who
recently signed a new five-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Monaco
signed the 28-year-old for a fee nearly around €60million last summer from La
Liga outfit Atletico Madrid. Last season for Monaco, he scored 11 goals in 19 games
before getting injured in January which also ended his World Cup dreams.
Falcao
is an exceptional striker, he can easily produce more than 20 goals and if
Liverpool beat Real Madrid than it will be one of the best signing of the
summer for them despite on a loan deal.
