Reported Arsenal target Alessio Cerci has told Italian outfit Torino that he wants to leave the club
in these last two transfer window days, according to Mirror.
The news have alerted Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger who might take interest in signing a new face before the transfer window shuts on Monday.
SkySports have also reported that Arsenal were once interested in him and looks like they
might reignite their interest.
While Wenger
has already told that Arsenal won’t be buying any striker despite of Olivier
Giroud’s long term injury.
The
Frenchman said: “You have decided I have to buy strikers. I’ve not decided. The
squad we have, we have enough to be successful.”
Boss believes that Arsenal current squad is good enough to be successful.
Arsenal
current attackers are Yaya Sanogo, new signing Alexis Sanchez, injured Olivier Giroud,
youngster Joel Campbell, World Cup winner Lukas Podolski and Englishman Theo
Walcot who is set to return after being sidelined for almost 8 months.
Currently
Arsenal don’t need any more new faces but with this Cerci news Wenger might
open talks with Torino as it would be a great addition to the squad.
The
27-year-old Italian tricky winger who can also play as a striker scored 13
goals in 37 appearances last season.
