Arsenal
are busy in searching a center back after beating Crystal Palace 2 – 1 at
Emirates yesterday.
Earlier
today, it was reported that Arsenal are in discussions with Olympiakos for
their center back Kostas Manolas.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger is eyeing him as Thomas Vermaelen replacement who joined La
Liga giants Barcelona for £15million few weeks ago.
Arsenal
boss has already signed two defenders this summer, Mathieu Debuchy from
Newcastle United and Calum Chambers from Southampton both of them played in the
first win of Arsenal against Crystal Palace yesterday.
Manolas
might not be a starter for Arsenal as they have Per Mertesacker and Laurent
Koscielny in the lineup but the 23-year-old could become a successor of any one of them in the near future.
The
Greek defender has played 49 league games for the Greek club since his move in
2012.
While
on the other side, Wenger is eyeing Paris Saints Germain midfielder Adrien
Rabiot according to reports. The 19-year-old made 27 appearances for PSG last
season.
Arsenal
have been in link with numerous player but failed to finalized any deal, now
they have diverted their interest towards this French teenager.
“Adrien Rabiot won 37 of his 40
tackles attempted in Ligue 1.”
Sami
Khedira and William Carvalho both have been in link with the Gunners in this
transfer window but this young talent can give long term assurance to Arsenal.
