Arsenal
only experienced striker Olivier Giroud suffered an injury in a 2 – 2 draw
against Everton last weekend. The Frenchman is out until the start of next year
according to his surgery reports.
Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has told that the Gunners have no intentions to buy a striker
despite of Giroud’s injury.
After
Giroud’s equalizer against Everton on Saturday it was believed that Arsenal don’t
need a striker but after his injury, they certainly need one. Yaya Sanoga and Joel
Campbell are young and inexperienced while playing new boy Alexis Sanchez upfront will not be a perfect option.
Wenger
told when asked about the new striker signing: “You will ask me straight away
who we will buy,” he said. “I give you the answer - at the moment, no-one.”
The
French manager said that players usually get injured and do they sign their replacement
everytime? No, currently Arsenal have a long list of injured players and they
have not planned to buy any replacement.
Arsenal
attacker Theo Walcott is close to returning from an injury he suffered in
January.
Besiktas
manager Slaven Bilic also told that Arsenal will be struggling in the Champions
League if they didn’t land any new striker before the transfer window ends on
Monday.
Arsenal
really need a striker but why Arsenal is still searching for a midfielder?
