Arsenal
forward Lukas Podolski might plan to stay despite of links with big team Juventus according to his agent.
Podolski’s agent Ali Pektas has dismissed all the links made by the papers in the recent days. The World Cup winner has lost his starting eleven spot at the Emirates. He did not even feature in the last game against Everton which ended as a 2 – 2 draw.
The
German forward has been linked with Serie A outfits Juventus and Napoli and
German side Wolfsburg are also keen to acquire his services.
Podolski’s
agent Ali Pektas has revealed that there is no offer from these clubs but it
will be difficult to rule out a move away from Emirates.
He
told Tutto Mercato: “I read in the newspapers that Juventus and Napoli were
interested in Lukas.”
“But
there has been no approach from either of those clubs. I don't know if he will
go to Italy in this transfer window.”
Currently,
he is unsure about his client’s future, Podolski has a contract with Arsenal
right now and is a Gunner.
The
29-year-old moved to Arsenal from FC Koln in 2012. He has scored 28 goals in 69
appearances.
A positive news for Podolski is, he might get chance from next week as Olivier Giroud is out with an ankle injury.
Reports have told that the Frenchman could be out for atleast three months and
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will not allow Podolski to leave now.
While
Arsenal are currently in search for a striker according to several reports. Former
Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o, Monaco striker Radamel Falcao and Paris Saints
Germain striker Edinson Cavani all have been in link with the Gunners.
