Cup Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez has agreed to join Real Madrid according
to reports in Spain.
Real Madrid have agreed a £65million with the French side Monaco for their star
player Rodriguez.
The
Colombian’s impressive performances at the World Cup has caught Real Madrid’s eye.
Rodriguez scored six goals in five games and won the Golden Boot award ahead of
Lionel Messi(4 goals) and Thomas Muller(5 goals) who both played seven games.
Rodriguez
has already expressed his desire to play for Madrid in the past. He told few days ago: “It's really flattering to know that a club like Madrid, of such
magnitude, are interested in me. It would be a dream to sign for the team of my
dreams.”
Monaco
signed Rodriguez from Portuguese side Porto for £35million last year and looks
set to deport the player to Real Madrid for almost the double amount they paid
to Porto.
Real
Madrid who have already landed Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos look
set to bolster their squad further.
Sami
Khedira who is on the verge of joining Arsenal is set to be replaced by Kroos
while Rodriguez will be replacing Argentinian attacker Angel di Maria who is
also close is agreeing a deal with the French side Paris Saints Germain.
