Manchester
United have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for their center-back
Mats Hummels according to the English reports.
The World Cup winner has been in link with the Old Trafford side throughout this summer and finally is set to move to England to discuss personal terms.
Dortmund
have already signed his replacement Matthias Ginter from Freiburg who is only
19-year-old which clearly gives a hint that the World Cup winner is on his way
to United.
Hummels
will become Louis van Gaal’s third signing after Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw
who both signed few weeks ago.
The
25-year-old has been a regular for the German side since 2009. Overall, he has
played 227 games since 2007.
While
United are also in talks with Arsenal over the possibility of their Belgian
center-back Thomas Vermaelen who will be leaving the Emirates this summer
according to Arsene Wenger.
Both
the center-halves will be replacing Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand both who left United for Inter Milan and Queens Park Rangers, respectively.
Stats:
Hummels won 71% of his aerial duels, only four players had more than him in Bundesliga campaign
last season.
