Paris
Saints Germain striker Edinson Cavani is going nowhere as he has revealed his
happiness at PSG.
Cavani has denied all the rumours linking him away from Parc des Princes and also added that he did not even ask to leave the French Champions.
The Uruguayan has been on Manchester United’s radar this summer and it was also reported that
he is not happy in France and wants to leave the club.
PSG
signed him last summer for £55million from Serie A side Napoli. He scored
25 goals in 43 appearances for the Ligue one side.
Chelsea
are still interested in his services even after capturing Diego Costa from Atletico
Madrid according to ESPN.
Few
weeks ago he hinted that he might be joining Manchester United as he said: “In
football, you never know. Anything can happen. One day you are in one team and,
the next day, you can be in another.”
But
now despite of being linked with big names, he is happy at PSG and has a contract
to honour.
The
27 year-old told, “I am sure to stay, why would I not?
Due
to Zlatan Ibrahimovic he could not get his favourite central role in front of
goal which was a minor reason that made his mind to think for a move but now looks like the
club has given him assurance that he will get his favourite role in the coming
season.
He
told: “There
were some small issues about the position I wanted to play but I feel very good
about that now.”
