Napoli
have signed Spanish attacker Michu from Swansea City on a season loan with an
option to sign him permanently in future.
After a disappointing second season at Swansea, Michu decided to leave for Napoli where he can play Champions League football in the coming season as they finished 3rd last season.
Michu
was mostly sidelined last season due to injury, he started only 15 Premier League
games.
The
28-year-old scored 28 goals in 67 games for Swansea since his move in 2012 from
Rayo Vallecano.
While
on the other hand, Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is eyeing to team up with Xabi
Alonso once again who has no plans to leave Real Madrid according to his agent.
The 32-year-old who signed a two year deal in January has no intentions to leave Santiago Bernabeu despite of Toni Kroos arrival from Bayern Munich.
His
agent Inaki Ibanez told: “I want to deny rumours that there has been any
contact with Napoli.”
"They
have never been in contact with us. I can assure you that Xabi will remain with
Real Madrid."
Alonso
who moved to Madrid in 2009 has won a La Liga and a Champions League trophy.
