Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has signed a new five-year-deal at
White Hart Lane.
The Frenchman who helped France to reach the Quarter Finals of the World Cup is currently enjoying short vacations and will join Tottenham Hotspurs soon for the coming season.
Lloris
was targeted by French big spenders Paris Saints Germain who will now have to look
for other stoppers in the market as the 27-year-old has signed a new deal
which will keep him until 2019.
Lloris
told the club's official website: “I spoke with the chairman and I know the
club is as ambitious as ever, It’s very important to feel at home at a club and
for my family to feel well.”
“I
enjoy a great relationship with the club and the fans. The arrival of Mauricio
Pochettino is important as well. I have a good feeling with him. He is also
ambitious.”
Despite
of last season's struggle, Lloris decided to stay at White Hart Lane and
rejected all the rumours linking with him.
He
believes that club will surely improve this season under new boss Mauricio
Pochettino who is determined to achieve his targets.
