Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has told that he will reveal his next football club soon.

The Englishman told SkySports that he is very close in joining a new side after being released by Chelsea last month and will tell his next destination shortly.

Lampard told Sky Sports that there is nothing new but he will reveal his move shortly. Reports have linked him with MLS side New York City who signed David Villa a month ago.

The all-time Chelsea top scorer who made his 106th appearance for England against Costa Rica in the World Cup group match has hinted that he will announce his retirement from international football soon.

He told: "Of course I would like to play for England again, but maybe you cannot play for ever so again I've switched off for the moment. I have not made that decision either. I'm very aware that my England career cannot go on forever and I have enjoyed every minute so we will see.

Lampard also added that it is always a difficult decision but the career he had was one to remember.

The 36-year-old midfielder played 648 games in 13 seasons at Stamford Bridge. He is also the all-time top scorer of Chelsea with 211 goals.

Lampard won everything at Chelsea including Premier League titles, Champions League, Europa League, League Cups and FA Cups.
