Premier
League outfit Stoke City have officially announced that they have completed the
signing of Bojan Krkic from Barcelona for an undisclosed fee.
Stoke City have completed their fifth summer signing of Barcelona attacker Bojan after successfully capturing Mame Biram Diouf, Phil Bardsley, Dionatan Teixeira and Steve Sidwell.
Potters manager Mark Hughes said: “Anyone who knows European football will be aware of him as a player and the fact that he sees his future at Stoke City is really exciting.”
Bojan
was the all-time highest scorer with more than 400 goals for Barca youth side but
failed to make his name at first team level due to competition and tough time,
he is determined to prove himself in England.
Stoke
boss added: “He's desperate to prove himself in the Premier League and we're
pleased to be able to offer him that platform.”
While
Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: “We are delighted to sign such a richly
talented and exciting 23-year-old player.”
Bojan has not played for the Catalans since resigning from Roma. He has
spent last two seasons on loan at Ajax and AC Milan. He scored 4 goals in 24 appearances
for Ajax last season.
Despite
of his failure at top level, the Spaniard is still enough capable to shine for
Stoke City, he has a vast experience of various leagues.
