Arsenal
are ready to fight number of Premier League clubs for Lyon midfielder Clement
Grenier according to French reports.
Clement Grenier is planning to leave the French side this summer with Arsenal, Everton and Newcastle United all have shown interest in his services.
While Serie A sides Inter Milan and AC Milan are all also interested in the 23-year-old and reports in
Italy claimed that these two Italian giants are in the driving seat. German
side Bayer Leverkusen are also keeping tabs on Grenier.
The
Frenchman has been a long term Arsenal target. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger told that
he was interested in him last year.
Due
to several other problems the Gunners were targeting other names but now looks
like they have reignited their interest.
Wenger
said: “We are following him, I like the intelligence of his play. He has
interesting qualities, if anyone, he reminds me of Samir Nasri.”
Lyon
boss Hubert Fournier has also agreed to sell his star player who scored 5 goals
in 23 starts last season.
With
number of big names interested in him, it will be his biggest problem that
which side should he join.
Arsenal
possibly the best club among them right now but he should go where he can play
regular football. At Arsenal they have Mesut Ozil for that role.
The
attacking midfielder is currently sidelined due to a groin injury.
Junaid Effendi follow him on Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus.
