Portuguese
side Sporting Lisbon has put William Carvalho on sale which has alerted many
big names including Arsenal.
Record newspaper has said that William Carvalho has been put up on sale as the Portuguese outfit want some cash to spend on their summer signings.
Carvalho
has already been on Arsenal’s radar for the past 18 months and this news will
now reignite Arsenal's interest in him.
According
to last week’s reports, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger made a £24million offer for
the Portuguese defensive midfielder which was turned down by the club as they
were not ready to sell their key player.
The
defensive midfielder has a £35million release clause but it looks like Sporting
Lisbon will accept an offer even below that amount as they want some cash for
this summer.
The 22-year-old scored 4 goals in 29 games in Primeira Liga last season and was also part of
Portugal team at the World Cup.
While
Manchester United and Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on his situation.
Now
it will be easy to land him as his club is ready to sell him for
the right price. His arrival means, Arsenal will not take any interest in
Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and Real Madrid midfielder Sami
Khedira.
