Arsenal
attacking midfielder Santi Cazorla is once again found on the papers with a
move away from the Gunners.
La Liga Champions Atletico Madrid has once again showed interest in the Spaniard who is set to leave the Emirates this summer.
Spanish
reports have also suggested that Cazorla is likely to be playing next season in
his homeland Spain.
La
Liga winners have already sold their big names like Diego Costa and have not
signed any big replacement. Recently captured the signature of Antoine
Griezmann from Real Sociedad.
Yesterday
Cazorla admired Atletico and told Arsenal that if they want to win the Premier League
they should adapt Atletico’s way.
He
said: “They had an incredible season last year. Winning titles takes several
campaigns, I admire everything they have conquered. Many people do not realise
how hard it is to win a league competing with Barcelona or Madrid.”
The
Spaniard has played two impressive seasons at Arsenal. He was named the player
of the year for the Gunners in his first season.
Cazorla
further added when he was asked to predict the champions for the coming season:
“Manchester City are the current champions and will always be the ones to watch
out for.”
The
29-year-old has scored 19 goals in 95 appearances for the north London side.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger have landed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and Theo Walcott
will also return from his injury soon which means that Caorla might struggle
this season in terms of getting time on field.
Arsenal
are also linked with Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus who recently rejected a
new offer.
Junaid Effendi follow him on Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus.
