According
to reports, Arsenal are considering Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Arsenal have shown interest in Huntelaar so many times in the past and now they have reignited their interest in the Dutch player.
Arsene
Wenger is desperate to land a striker this summer who can help Olivier
Giroud in front of goals.
Arsenal
have been linked with AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli and Bayern Munich striker
Mario Mandžukić in the past but failed to finalize the deal.
Huntelaar has not agreed to new Schalke deal as he has expressed his
desire to play for a top European club before his retirement. Reports also suggested that Liverpool are also interest in Huntelaar services which means Arsenal will have to fight the Reds to get him.
Huntelaar
will come for a cheap price as compared to Mario Balotelli and Mario Mandžukić. The
Dutchman scored 13 goals in 20 games for the Bundesliga side last season.
The
30-year-old helped Netherlands to reach the Quarter Final stage of the World
Cup by scoring the winner against Mexico few days ago. Currently he is
preparing to face Costa Rica in the Quarter Final.
