Former
Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand believes Raphael Varane of Real Madrid would be a great addition to Old Trafford.
Ferdinand who is out of contract and is close in joining the Queens Park Rangers this summer on a free transfer has expressed his desire to see Varane play in a United jersey.
Manchester United have signed two players recently, Luke Shaw from Southampton for around £30million
and Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao for around £28million.
United
have not singed the replacement of their pair center backs Ferdinand and Nemanja
Vidic who also left the club for Inter Milan after serving United nearly ten
years.
United
are in search for a center back and Ferdinand wants United to look after Real
Madrid youngster Varane.
Manchester
United new boss Louis van Gaal who is currently busy in World Cup will
concentrate more on club transfers after the competition. Yesterday,
Netherlands won against Mexico and will face Costa Rica in the Quarter Final.
Varane
is only 21-year-old and will prove to be a great signing for the long term
future. He has played 71 games for Madrid since his move in 2011.
Currently,
he is representing his country and will face Nigeria in the round of 16 of the
World Cup later today.
What
do you think, should United go for Varane or they need an experienced player?
