Arsene Wenger has not signed any striker yet and still monitoring all of his targets in this World Cup. Yesterday, one of his target Mario Balotelli shined in a game against England while Arsenal youngster Joel Campbell also impressed to get a chance at the Emirates next season.
The
Italian who was strongly being linked by the Gunners have once again proved his
worth by scoring the winning goal. Balotelli's header in the 50th took them to the second place of group D with three points.
The
23-year-old Italy's first choice striker had a great game yesterday, he tried an
exceptional chip from a tight angle which was cleared out by England center
back Phil Jagielka from the goal line.
Arsene
Wenger is eyeing Balotelli and from yesterday’s performance the Italian has added
another positive point in Wenger’s notes.
While
Arsenal starlet Joel Campbell also shinned yesterday for
Costa Rica. The 21-year-old scored and set up a goal in a 3-1 win over Uruguay.
Costa Rica currently lead the group.
Campbell,
who scored 8 goals for Olympiacos last season is also a man to watch for Arsene
Wenger. His performances in this World Cup can give him a chance at Arsenal next
season.
