The 22-year-old defender has played 21 games for Ajax
in Eredivisie this season. Veltman who has 4 years left in his contract was called to play for his country Netherlands in last November and currently hoping to seal his place in the coming World Cup.
Spurs are confident that their good relations with Ajax will help them. Ajax have sold two of their star
players to them namely defender Jan Vertonghen and midfielder Christian Eriksen who
both can also play a role in bringing Veltman to White Hart Lane.
Arsenal skipper Thomas Vermaelen is expected to leave
the Gunners at the end of this season and Arsenal are hoping to bring his
replacement from the same club Ajax.
