Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has admitted regarding Kim Kallstrom's back injury that
he knew his problem before signing him but decided to take a risk.
Kallstrom
joined the Gunners on loan from Spartak Moscow despite a test showing his
injury which has side lined him for six weeks. While Arsenal two young midfielders
Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey are already injured.
The
Swedish international who has capped 108 times for his country could recover at
the end of this month according to Wenger.
Wenger
said that they have to establish the real truth about it. The Swedish player
arrived here and Arsenal found that he has a problem with his back.
Wenger
further added that first difficult task is to identify a player, of such physique
and then they checked him and found that he had a little micro-fracture.
Good
news for Arsenal was that Spartak Moscow accepted to share the costs as long as
their player is injured, they will pay.
Wenger
said that if he had time he would not have signed him, as it was last day of
the transfer window they had to sign someone, especially they needed a midfielder
as two of their players are currently side lined.
Arsenal
were linked with £37 million-rated midfielder Julian Draxler of Schalke, but
due to big money they did not make a bid.
Arsenal
boss said that they are not against spending, but at the moment they are
focused on the current half of the season, they may go for him in the summer.
