Liverpool can win Premier League according to John Barnes. Liverpool recently beat Stoke at Britannia stadium, thanks to Suarez and Sturridge.

John Barnes, LFC legend and a player who scored 108 goals in 407 games for the reds has recently written off the chances for LFC to fight for what could might be their 19th league title by saying that Liverpool lack the deepness in their squad which is available to the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea…But is it really what LFC got???

Many people start making fun of Merseyside Reds after their dismal end to 2013 by suffering back to back defeats from Man City and Chelsea respectively. LFC who were top of the league before these two matches fell down to 5th at the start of New Year. But the bounce back from LFC gave a major threat to the teams above them in league. The way they responded to those major setbacks by defeating hull at home and more importantly a much improved stoke last night gave a flicker of hope to LFC fans. LFC haven’t defeated stoke recently at Britannia stadium but the way their strike force combined to score 5 against stoke was absolute stunning. With LFC captain Steven Gerrard coming back from injury gives a major boost to LFC. And what about Daniel Sturridge? The way SAS combined on Sunday proved that they are the deadly duo and the most lethal combination in Premier League. And who knows their magician Luis Suarez who is in a red hot form at the moment and has scored more goals than any player in Europetop 5 leagues can fire them to their 19th and much awaited league title. LFC had a bit of a Christmas blip, but two league wins in January has given Brendan Rodgers to dream for the title. BR who was in a thrilling mood after win over stoke last night said that ‘’LFC are genuine title contenders. We have got 17 league games to play. Liverpool are legitimate title contenders’’. So it’s all to play for Reds who have recovered from injury scare and ready to rumble.
