Liverpool need 77 points to qualify for Champions League this season. Currently LFC are on 4th place with 43 points in the Premier League.

The five time Champions League winners are fighting to get the 4th spot in order to qualify for the CPL. Liverpool have not played CPL since 2010.

How can Liverpool get top 4 this season

Liverpool have been sensational since the start of the season. Currently at 4th spot. Everton is two points behind them and they also have a game in hand, if Everton win then Liverpool will fall down to fifth place while Tottenham who will face Swansea City will also equal the points if they beat Swans today.

Liverpool can only remain on 4th spot after this gameweek if Everton fail to win against West Bromwich at the Hawthorns on Monday.

Liverpool failed to get the three points against Aston Villa at Anfield last night. Final score was 2-2. While Lucas suffered an ankle injury. Daniel Sturridge returned in the starting line-up and scored a goal, Steven Gerrard was also on the score sheet for the Reds.

Today’s question is that how will LFC finish this season in top 4?
17 games are left to play in the Barclays Premier League this season.

Liverpool remaining fixtures are:
Everton (Home), West Brom (Away), Arsenal(Home),  Fulham (Away), Swansea (Home), Southampton (Away), Sunderland (Home), Manchester United (Away), Cardiff (Away), Tottenham (Home), West Ham (Away), Manchester City (Home), Norwich (Away), Chelsea (Home), Crystal Palace (Away) and Newcastle (Home).

Liverpool majority of matches against good and competitive teams are at Anfield that’s an advantage.

Southampton and Newcastle will be the surprising game, these two games will give a tough time. While playing against top teams like City and Chelsea is always difficult but Liverpool have a good advantage of Anfield.

If Liverpool win atleast 10 matches, draw 4 and lose 3 in the remaining fixtures then I think they will make it to top 4.

They have 43 points and if they follow above line then they will have 77 points and 77 is enough to make the top 4.

From the last years:
2012-2013, Arsenal finished 4th with 72 points.
2011-2012, Tottenham finished 4th with 69 points.
2010-2011, Arsenal finished 4th with 68 points.

By seeing the above points with respect to 4th place it is obvious that this season fourth spot will not going to finish in less than 72 points. And if Liverpool managed to get 77 then they will be in the Champions League.
