Chelsea new: Premier league side Chelsea are confident on their striker Torres that he will continue to impress while Mourinho don’t want to sell Mata.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has said that Chelsea have no intention of signing a forward during January and also said that he still wants to keep Juan Mata at Stamford Bridge.


Chelsea will not sign strikers, says Mourinho

The Portuguese manager has said clearly that they will not sign a striker in this transfer window as he has showed his faith in Fernando Torres who scored in the last two games. Chelsea boss thinks that Fernando Torres will continue this form and so they will not need a striker.

Yes it has been rumouring around that Chelsea are looking to sign players but they are not strikers, former Chelsea player Nemanja Matic is close in returning to Stamford Bridge according to reports.
Matic left Chelsea as part of the David Luiz’s deal to Stamford Bridge in 2011.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said that Torres is calm right now because he knows we are not going to buy a striker this window. Every club wants their strikers to score because strikers are the goal scorers.

Chelsea trusted Fernando Torres in the summer that’s why they did not sign a striker and Mourinho has still showed his faith in the Spaniard.

The former Real Madrid manager further added that Chelsea have players who can score goals from other positions like Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard. But this is strikers’ job to put the ball into back of the net.

mata to stayJuan Mata who was the player of the year for Chelsea for the last two years has spent more time on the bench than on the pitch and still Mourinho said that he wants to keep him.

Mourinho admired his team and other players like Oscar, Willian and Eden Hazard who are playing well according to him. Mata will rise in February because maybe some players will lose their form.
