Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will not be bringing any
striker in the current transfer window. He is patient because he wants to buy a
striker for the future.
The Portuguese manager added that they need a striker
who can score 30 goals like Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Liverpool’s LuisSuarez, he needs time to make a perfect choice for a striker because he wants
to buy for a long term future. A Frontman will be his main target in the summer
transfer window.
"All our three strikers, no-one is the
future for 10 years, like we have in other positions," Mourinho said.
Demba Ba (28), Fernando Torres (29) and Samuel Eto'o (32)
are the current attacking options at Stamford Bridge. All of them are aged,
Mourinho needs a striker who can play for a long time and these three can’t
play more than 2-3 years.
If Mourinho is urging for a long term striker, then
Romelu Lukaku will be the perfect player. Lukaku has been sensational since his
move to Everton. The Belgian is young and talented, has scored 9 goals in 19
games for Everton this term. But recently Mirror published that Mourinho will
sell Lukaku to help fund a record transfer for PSG Edinson Cavani. If this is
true then why Mourinho told above that he wants young striker for a long term plan,
Cavani will be 27 in February, he is a good striker but not young, not the one
who can play 7-10 years.
