David Moyes has targeted Strootman to solve his Manchester United’s midfield problem.
United were strongly linked with him in the past.
The
23 year old left PSV for Roma in July 2013, Roma paid 17 million euros for him.
Former
PSV manager, Dick Advocaat, who trained Strootman said earlier that Manchester
United are taking serious interest and could be his next destination.
Reports
are suggesting that United could make a £30 million bid for the Dutch
midfielder as United’s coach Phil Neville was spotted in an international
friendly match between Netherland and Colombia. Strootman has scored three
times in 24 appearances for Netherland.
But
the player’s agent Chiel Dekker said that the midfielder is not thinking to
leave the Italian side, he is happy at the moment in Italy.
Dekker
told Sky Sports that his player Kevin is happy and he has no intentions of
leaving the club, he will stay for long time. Kevin has adapted well to his new
club’s project.
Strootman
has played 13 games so far this season and scored 3 goals for the Serie A side.
Roma is currently on 2nd place with 37 points in Serie A, just 3 points behind
the league leaders Juventus.
Strootman
is a tough-tackling and hardworking midfielder, having a good vision and
balance on the ball. He is a physically strong midfielder. He is known as the
Dutch Roy Keane.
