Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho is hoping Chelsea to be
drawn with the Turkish giants Galatasaray in the round of 16 of the Champions
League on Monday that will bring his former player Didier Drogba back to
Stamford Bridge.
Drogba left Chelsea for Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua
after enjoying his successful eight years at Stamford Bridge. Drogba played
only 11 games for the Chinese side scoring 8 goals before moving to Turkey to
sign for Galatasaray.
Galatasaray recently secured round
of 16 spot of Champions League by beating the Italian giants
Juventus in the last group stage match.
The 35 year old scored 157 goals in 341 appearances
for Chelsea plus won lot of trophies including Primer League, Champions League
and FA Cup.
Chelsea fans still considered him as a hero because he
played an important part in the club's Champions League victory against German
side Bayern Munich in 2012 when he scored the winning penalty in a dramatic
shoot-out at Allianz Arena, Munich.
Chelsea could play against Galatasaray, Zenit St
Petersburg or AC Milan who are totally out of form this season, in the last 16,
rather than the inform teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona or defending champions
Bayern Munich, but Mourinho said that whoever they face it would be difficult. If
it is Galatasaray then they have King Drogba.
Mourinho said that they will wait for the result of
the draw and forget about the Champions League as it will continue in February.
Chelsea will prepare for the next stage of the
Champions League by producing the best in the domestic competitions.
If they qualify for quarter-final then there will be
only eight teams. They can think in a different way.Junaid Effendi follow him on Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus.
