FC
Porto forward Jackson Martinez has expressed his desire to play in England and
the two London sides Chelsea and Arsenal are the desired clubs.
The
27-year-old has netted 12 goals in 14 games in Portuguese league this season,
leading Porto to second place, league leaders Sporting Lisbon are just leading
on goal difference.
Martinez
who has capped 25 times for his country has expressed his wish to join any Premier
League top club.
La
Gazzetta dello Sport asked him, where would he like to play? He answered that when he was a kid he rooted
for Chelsea and Arsenal.
He
thinks the best leagues are the Premier League, La Liga and Bundesliga, which
has grown much in last few years.
But
he also added that Serie A is also good, many friends play in Italy.
The
main problem many clubs will face is his buy-out clause which is £34million, his
contract will expire in June 2016.
However,
even Martinez himself has been taken aback by his rise to prominence over the
last year.
He
further added that his buy-out clause of £34million is a huge amount.
His value was exploded in just one year. He does not expect to do so well.
Arsenal
and Chelsea both are lacking in front of goal, both need a good striker and
Martinez will be good for any of them.
